Description
Alexander the saucier and Geoffrey Caland, bailies and burgesses of the ville of Inverkeithing in Fife, Adam Marshall, William Dod, Peter of Pitreavie, John de L'Isle, William son of Eve, Andrew of Stirling, William son of John, Ralph son of Norman, John Bertram and William of Rydale, burgesses, and the whole community of the same ville; having come into the allegiance and obedience of their lord, the lord Edward, king of England etc., promise for themselves and their heirs, upon pain of body and possessions, that they will serve him well and loyally against all men, etc.; they have sworn this on the holy gospels; each of them has performed fealty to their lord, the king of England.
