Description
Olaf, king of the Isles, to Henry III, king of England; informs him that Godred, king of Man and the Sudreys, had two sons, including a bastard, called Reginald (Rognvald), who as a young man and adult [claimed?] to have wardship over the kingdom [and?] converted all its possessions to his own use, against the will of Olaf's brother. Olaf requests Henry's letters to the king of Scotland. ... [Alan, lord] of Galloway ... to prohibit from attacks on Olaf and his merchants ... to answer in Olaf's court. He has come to an agreement with G[eoffrey] de Marisco, justiciar of Ireland, concerning piracy, and requests the king's letters to the justiciar for help.
