Description
The ‘six brothers of Halliburton of Scotland’ show the king that whereas Sir John de Balliol gave each of them for his support, £20 of land for service, by reason of the war in Scotland they have been put out of their lands, and have nothing but their service; therefore they pray that he would have pity on their condition, who are ever ready to do his pleasure as their liege lord.
