Description
The prior and convent of St Andrew of Scotland pray the king and his council to command the bailiffs of St John’s town to answer the petitioners for a mark of the rents of their town and 40s. yearly of cain of vessels; and also the bailiffs of Dundee to allow them to enjoy peaceably a silver mark yearly of the fermes of the burgh as they have been wont to receive; of which they have charters from King David and King Alexander, and are ready to show them when it pleases the king.
