Description
The king makes known that for good service which William of Gullane, goldsmith, has devoted to him, he has granted those houses with pertinents within his villa of Berwick-on-Tweed, which the same William had on the day which the king captured the villa [and] his enemies; to hold according to the ordinance made of the said villa by him. John de Warenne, earl of Surrey, guardian of the realm and land of Scotland is commanded to release the said houses to William.
