- Description
- Edward, king of England, since by his charter he has given and granted to his cousin and sworn man Aymer de Valence his castle of Selkirk and also his manor and demesne lands of Selkirk and Traquair, and his burgh of Peebles, with mills and all their other appurtenances, and likewise the king's whole forest of Selkirk with its appurtenances, for Aymer and his heirs to have and to hold as it is set out more fully in his said charter; he has given and granted to Aymer the forfeits of lands and holdings, with everything pertaining, of his enemies and rebels, which they held of the king from the said castle and manors and lands on the day when they left his faith to hold to Robert de Brus etc.; Aymer and his heirs to have and to hold said lands etc. in perpetuity.
