- Description
- The delivery of Patrick de Graham to the Tower. Memorandum, that on this day, some of the king’s sergeants-at-arms brought Patrick de Graham, a Scottish knight, before the treasurer and barons, and produced the following writ: The king to the bishop of Chester, his treasurer. Sends him by the bearers his sergeants, the said Patrick who has come to the king’s peace, and commands that he be warded safely in some English castle at the bishop’s discretion. Commands his reply by the bearers, by whom he is also to send what money he can for the king’s household expenses. Under the privy seal at Lanercost, 29 October, year 34.
Whereon the said Patrick was forthwith delivered to Ralph de Sandwich, constable of the Tower of London, present in court to be kept there body for body.
