Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given his burgesses of Crail that they may have the villa of Crail (FIF) in free burgh, with toll and team, and a market day on Sundays, with all the liberties, commodities and easements which are justly theirs from the time of his predecessors from the middle of the River Leven as far as the Water of Peekie (now Kenly Water). He also wills that the burgesses may be free of toll and custom throughout the kingdom, and prohibits anyone from troubling them in this, on penalty of his full forfeiture.
