The toun of Simprim claims to have rights of commonty in the peatary, but they are mistaken. And the lord of Simprim demitted to the lord of Leitholm a certain part of the peatary for 10s annually. And the said lord of Leitholm restored to the said lord of Simprim the said peatary, but he was unwilling to pay the rent. Total sum 21 pounds, 6 shillings. Chief residence worth 12 pence annually, and no more, because it is waste. And the whole toun was the demesne of the Prior before the war and after.
