AYTON INFERIOR (BWK): The chief residence is waste. There are three ploughgates of land in demesne, with 8 oxgangs making a ploughgate, and 14 acres in an oxgang, with each ploughgate worth 40s yearly.
FORFEITURES: Adam Bel held one toft and a half ploughgate of land, worth 26s 8d per year; in forfeiture, because he did [not?] come to peace after the defeat at Falkirk.
Walter of Upsettlington held one toft and two oxgangs of land worth annually 13s 4d. Forfeited because he was killed at Falkirk.
Roger le Poer held one toft and two oxgangs worth 13s 4d and it is escheated to the Prior, because he died without an heir before the war.
Adam Collan held one toft and 8 acres worth 6s 8d per year. It is forfeited, and he died at Linlithgow after the defeat.
Robert the mareschal, who was betrothed to Helen daughter of John of Kinburn, holds one toft and 18 acres, paying rent at 12d per year and suit. He was at peace [i.e., in the peace of the king of England].
Margaret Bien held one toft and 18 acres worth 6s 8d per year, which are in the hand of the Prior.
Walter Ayre held one toft and 24 acres worth 10s per year, which are in the hand of the Prior.
Adam son of Walter held one toft worth 10s per year, which are now in the hand of the Prior.
