Description
The dean and chapter of Dunblane have granted and established the inspections and instruments of collation and confirmation by Jonathan and Abraham, late bishops of Dunblane, and by Clement, the present bishop, of the churches in the diocese of Dunblane possessed by the monastery of Inchaffray, and formerly conceded with the consent of the clergy of Dunblane, by which the monastery obtained all the revenues and fruits of the churches of Strageath (PER) , Auchterarder (PER), Kinkell (PER), Aberuthven (PER), Dunning (PER), Trinity Gask (PER), Fowlis Wester (PER), Monzievaird (PER), ‘Tuliedene’ (PER), and Kilbryde (PER), to be converted for the use of the monastery saving the vicar’s portion and the assessment of the vicarages noted below, and saving the £16 granted by the abbot and convent to Sir C[lement], bishop, from the garbal teinds of Tullibardine (PER), Kincardine (i.e., Kincardine in Strathearn, PER) , Bardrill (PER) and Ogilvie (PER) , arising out of the dispute between the bishop and monastery; also saving the garbal teinds of Rossie (PER) , Strathy (PER) , Strageath (PER), ‘Ameluoy’ (?PER), Panholes (PER) and ‘Ruuehalache’ (?PER), valued at 20 marks by the judgement of good men, assigned to the archdeaconry of Dunblane about to be constructed, saving also the garbal teinds of Auchtermachany (PER) and of the villa of Wester Feddal (PER) pertaining to the church of Auchterarder, which have been assigned by the abbot and convent for the construction of a prebend in the church of Dunblane; the dean and chapter, with unanimous and solemn consent have granted and established these grants and confirmation of the bishops; moreover, they have granted and established, with unanimous and solemn consent, the assessment of the vicarages of the said churches, as settled, with the consent of each party, by the bishops of Glasgow and Dunkeld as well as by Bishop C[lement], as was more fully contained in the original writ of the said assessment.
