Description
Pope Gregory X writes to the abbot and convent of Dunfermline, noting how their monastery is burdened by debts to certain creditors who had obtained letters from the apostolic see and its legates. He indulges that they may not be made to pay debts of this sort, unless their creditors shall prove lawfully the same to have been converted for the advantage of the monastery.
