Pope Alexander IV confirms to the abbot and convent of Lindores, as he also confirmed to Arbroath Abbey, the assessment of the vicarages of the churches which Lindores Abbey have in the diocese of Aberdeen as made through procurators appearing before him in the church of Banchory-Ternan (ABD) on 3-4 August 1250. This also refers to ‘ut supra’, that is, the letters of the chancellor of Moray, the treasurer, and Master John of Everley, canon, of Dunkeld, which further recite the letters of Pope Innocent IV appointing them judges in the case, and confirming the assessment of the vicarages and portions.
