Arnold, abbot of Melrose, G[eoffrey], abbot of Newminster and R[ichard], abbot of Jedburgh, as papal-judges delegate, settle the case between the canons of Brinkburn Priory and the monks of Kelso Abbey concerning certain land (fundo) in Roxburgh, which Robert the chaplain held in burgage by hereditary right from the canons, rendering 22d., of which 10d. was paid to the canons, and 12d. to G[ilbert] Fraser and his heirs. The agreement is as follows: that the said canons of Brinkburn have granted, and by the charter of their chapter established the land, saving their pension of 10d. paid at the feast of St James, and saving to G. Fraser the rent of 12d. The monks have given by a charter of their chapter to the said canons the pension to be rendered.
