An agreement is formed between the abbot and convent of Arbroath and Sir Philip de Moubray, whereby the abbot and convent have granted to Sir P[hilip] in perpetuity license to have an oratory at his court at Kelly (ANG), where the divine service will be celebrated by himself and his private family and by his own chaplains. The parishioners shall also celebrate on holy feast days. Philip and his heirs shall be accepted with his family at the mother church.

Philip de Moubray witnessed charters of King William starting in the 1190s and continuing to the end of the reign (_RRS_ ii, nos. 393, 397, 524). He was still alive in 1233 (_Dunf. Reg._, no. 222).
