Description
An agreement is formed between Henry, prior of Coldingham, and Robert, son of Matthew of Auchencrow, whereby the prior shall find for Robert sustenance during his whole life, that is, from the cellar, on whatever day, one monk’s loaf, and one loaf of oatcake or rye-bread, and 1½ measures of cooked food; from the kitchen, on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, one dish of meat, and on the other days, fish; and half a mark yearly towards robes, for which sustenance, the prior has received 10 marks and 20s. yearly rent from his land of Auchencrow (BWK).
