Elias of Brotherstoneside has given, granted, and by this his charter established, to the works of the church of Dryburgh Abbey, in augmentation of the land that he previously conferred on them and by his charter established, a certain piece of land for their uses, next to the croft that he gave them before, by stated bounds, as he perambulated it in the presence of Henry, abbot of Dryburgh, and other responsible men, in free, pure and perpetual alms.
