Description
Moses, the crossbowman, by the consent and good will of William, his son and heir, has given and granted and by this his charter established to Melrose Abbey, for the salvation of his lord, King William and the queen and his son, Alexander, and for the salvation of his soul and all his relatives, in free, pure and perpetual alms, 10 acres of land from the market of Berwick (BWK), by stated bounds, free and quit from all service of the land, custom and secular exaction.
