Everard of Pencaitland, with the consent of his heirs, for the salvation of his soul, and for the souls of his father and his mother and all his forefathers, and for the fraternity and society of the monastery of Durham, has quitclaimed in perpetuity to St Cuthbert, and Bertram the prior, and the convent of the said monastery of Durham, the claim that he had against them over the land between Edrom and Blanerne, and his right, if any, he had in the aforesaid land; he and his heirs have entirely renounced.
