Description
Alexander son of Henry of Samsonshiels has granted and by this his charter established to Dryburgh Abbey that donation which William of Burncastle made to them of a meadow in Logie Samson (BWK) called ‘Flaxillis’ and a marsh lying between the meadow and the road leading through Standandstane and between the land which Richard, the hunter, used to cultivate, and of four acres in ‘Folkesflat’, between one which is between the land of Henry son of Samson and the land of the canons, with a toft and three acres near the land of Uhtred the carpenter on the south side, with all pasture and easements, in free, pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all forinsec and secular exaction, custom and demand, just as contained in the charter of the said William.
