John de Vaux, son of Robert de Vaux, has granted and by his charter established, to Dryburgh Abbey, that donation his father made in pure and perpetual alms concerning the land called ‘Staniacre’ in the territory of Elbottle (ELO) and concerning two acres near the same ‘Staniacre’, free from service and secular exaction.
