Description
Laurence ‘le Stater’, son and heir of the late Robert ‘le Stater’, burgess of Berwick, of his own free will, has resigned and quitclaimed to Newbattle Abbey, all the land in the burgh of Berwick on the Ness, which he held from the Abbot and monks for a payment of one mark annually, renouncing all right and claim which he or his heirs might have had.
