David, bishop of Moray, states that because lord Bernard, abbot of Arbroath, in his name and the name of his convent, arranged to grant to the bishop their land of Bught near Inverness (INV) at ferme from the feast of Pentecost in the year 1311, until the completion of five years, he obliges and promises in good faith by the present [charter], to release or render to the abbot and convent, without any contradiction, the land of Bught in the same or better condition, at the end of the five years.
