Description
John, king of Scotland, has given, granted and by his present charter established to his sworn man John de Insula, for his homage and service, all his land in Whitsome (BWK) with tofts and crofts and all buildings, wards, relieves, escheats, suits, etc., to hold of him and his heirs, in feu and heritage, for the service of half a knight. He grants, by his special grace, that John and his heirs may exchange, sell or give the said land to religious men if they so wish without impediment.
