W[illiam] and R[obert], bishops of St Andrews and Glasgow, John Comyn, James Stewart of Scotland, and Brian fitz Alan, Guardians of the realm, established by lord Edward, king of England, overlord of Scotland, write to Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, commanding him, in the name of the said king of England, to pay to Roger of Burton and Osbert of Spaldington, assigned by the king to hear pleas within Scotland, their wages for 22 weeks from the time they began the said service, up to 15 June, that is 15s. for each day.
