Description
William of Braytoft, keeper of the castles of Inverness and Dingwall, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and Master Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, associate to the chamberlain through the lord king of England, lord superior of Scotland, forty pounds of sterling for part of his wages for custody of the castles of Inverness and Dingwall from the feast of the Holy Trinity in the year 1292 until the feast of St Edward the king.
