Thomas of Braytoft, the knight, keeper of the castles of Invernairn and Cromarty, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and Master Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, [who was made] an associate to the same chamberlain by the lord king of England, overlord of Scotland, twenty-eight pounds and fourteen shillings for the remainder of his wages granted to him by the lord king of England for custody of the said castles.
