Description
On 9th August, at Braid, John Comyn of Kilbride, on delivery from prison, touching the gospels, swore to serve the king in France under forfeiture of life and goods, and to procure a sufficient mainprise before the king sailed. John of Inchmartine, freed on the earl of Atholl’s mainprise to go to Scotland on the earl’s affairs, touching the gospels, swore to join the king in France as soon as possible.
