Description
Account of G[ilbert] Hay, former sheriff of Perth, made the same day and year, by N[icholas], his son and heir, and Geoffrey the clerk, his attorneys, of the arrears from his last account, made of the bailiwick (ballia) of Perth, at Scone, on the Monday before Palm Sunday, year, etc. LXII. Received of the same. In oatmeal, 10 chalders, 6 bolls, and two parts of one boll. Expended. In the service of the king, 1 chalder, 3 bolls and a half, and 1 ... and a half firlot . Item, to Peter the sumetarius , from the Monday before Palm Sunday, year, etc., LXII ... until the Feast of St Michael, LXIII ... bolls. Item, to Henry the fool , to Brelman, to Patrick, for guarding [door of?] the little maces (janitori macellorum), and for keeping the rabbits (custodi cuniculorum), and for the wife of Philip the brewer, for the same time, 3 chalders, 6 bolls. Item, in the service of Lady Queen, 1 boll and 1 firlot and a half firlot. Total expended, 5 chalders, 8 bolls, 1 firlot. And he owes 4 chalders, 9 bolls and a half firlot, which are being sold for four and a half marks, for which he will answer infra. Received of the same. In malt, 11 chalders, 2 bolls of malt. Expended. In the service of the king, 8 chalders, 7 bolls and a half of malt. Item, in the service of the queen, 2 chalders, 2 bolls and a half. Total expended, 10 chalders and 10 bolls. And he owes one half chalder, which was sold for 5s., for which he will answer infra. Received of the same in provender, 6 chalders, 10 bolls of provender. Expended in the service of the queen, 5 chalders, 2 bolls, and he owes 1 chalder, 15 bolls, which are being sold for 5s. iii d., for which he will answer below. Memorandum that William Lipp must return the account of eels from Clunie for all his time.
