Description
Robert, king of Scots, has [given] Patrick, his chief medical surgeon, the land of Balgillo in the thanage of Monifieth in the sheriffdom of Forfar (ANG), pennyland of 'Carmudeborge' in Borness, a fourth of the land of 'Lachtalpen' near adjacent lands of Carrick, a markyate land of 'Aryndarach' in the sheriffdom of Wigtown (WIG), holding of us and our heirs in feu and heritage, for sufficient service of medical surgery, saving to the king wards and reliefs of the lands when they occur, with the marriages of the heirs of the said land.
