Description
David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified and confirmed, for his beloved and faithful Roger Wodyfelde, all lands, holdings, and burgages and rents in the burgh of Dumfries, which he has and in which he was lawfully vested and saised on the day this charter was made, without exemptions, sales or donations to anyone, and those 20 acres of land with a burgage in the vill of Troqueer (DMF) which Joneta, daughter of the late Walter of Moffat and Richard Duchti, her husband, mortgaged to Roger; holding by Richard and his heirs or assigns, in feu and heritage, as contained in his charter or letter or oral evidence, saving the king's service.
