Description
David, king of Scots, has granted in pure and perpetual alms to Newbattle abbey the donations which Henry of Braid and Elizabeth of Alburgh, Henry's daughter and heir, made in her free widowhood, in increment and easement of their land of 'Crag' (Craig House, MLO), namely the meadow called 'Medeuspot' with the spring in the same meadow, and the garden called 'Stodfald', with all the land lying between the meadow and the garden on the west side, with commons in the moor and the peatary in the land of Braid (MLO) for fuel for their men staying there; holding them as they hold their other lands.
