Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Robert of Danielston, for his faithful service, the barony of Glencairn in the sheriffdom of Dumfries, which was John of Danielston knight's, father of the said Robert, and which John resigned to the king; holding by Robert and his heirs and assigns in feu and heritage, in free barony, in feus and forfeitures, with the services of the freeholders, and advowson of the churches, with mills and multures, bondsmen and bondages, neyfs and their offspring, for the service to which John his father was held; for wards, reliefs, marriages, suits of court, and other burdens.
