Description
Alan son of Roland, constable of Scotland, has given, granted, and established by his present charter, to Hugh of Crawford, for his homage and service, his land of Crosbie (AYR), by those marches by which Ivolotus the Small held it on the day when Alan granted that land to Hugh of Crawford, in pannages and assarts, and those easements and liberties which any knight has in all of his landholdings, except stags, hinds, roe-deer, and young hawks, for an annual render of one unmewed sparrowhawk, on the feast of the Assumption of the BVM. Moreover, he will perform the forinsec service that pertains to one ploughgate of land.
