Description
Malcolm, earl of Lennox, has given, granted, and established by this his present document, to Michael Mackessane and his heirs, the liberty to make one suit only by the body of one suitor; that suitor should have been presented by the said Michael or his heirs in the earl’s court for his time at their pleasure, to make suit in the earl's court for the said Michael and his heirs concerning the land of Garchell (Drymen, STL) and of ‘Buchlat’, as often as it may be necessary; so that the said Michael and his heirs should have lawful summons to make the said suit at any court of the earl or his heirs.
