- Description
- Ralph de Vermelles son of Philip II de Vermelles has granted and by this present charter established to Holyrood Abbey the donation which his grandfather and father gave them on the land of Romanno (PEB) with the augmentation that he added. Moreover, he has granted and ratified the agreement made between the canons of Holyrood and the monks of Newbattle over the exchange of the said land of Romanno for the land of Mount Lothian, and the admission of the said canons by the monks of Newbattle into the true and full possession of the land.
