Robert Bruce (IV), lord of Annandale, informs that he has granted and surrendered to his son, Sir Robert Bruce (V), earl of Carrick, the whole right and claim that he had, or could have had, to sue for the realm of Scotland so that henceforth he can assert or propound no right or claim to sue for that kingdom in his own name. He gives and grants, of his own will, to his son and his heirs, full power to sue for the realm and to prosecute in his own name the right which pertains to him in this matter. He has arranged the seal of Sir Gilbert de Clare, earl of Gloucester and Hertford to be affixed.
