Haakon V, king of Norway, and Robert I, king of Scotland, settle disputes outstanding between the two kingdoms. Amends are sought for damages done by Scots in Orkney and Shetland, by invading Orkney, taking and ransoming the Berner Peff ..., the knight, the king of Norway's steward there. King Robert denies responsibility but agrees to pay 600 marks and punishment of the malefactors is remitted to him. Amends for damages in Shetland are suspended. Amends are sought for damages done in Norway to men of St Andrews costing them 600 pounds and imprisonment; and for the imprisonment in Orkney of Sir Patrick Mowat, who was ransomed for 40 marks. Restitution to the men of St Andrews and enquiry into, and restitution for, the case of Mowat, are promised. Berner de Berkerey and Ivar son of Olaf, along with Fercard, bishop of Caithness, Sir Magnus, earl of Caithness, and Master Roger of Inverness, chancellor of of the church of Moray, swear that the aforementioned will be upheld.
