Description
Peter Burdet, keeper of Berwick, has received by the hand of William of Battisford, having received in turn from Sir William Balliol, on behalf of Sir Alexander Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and on behalf of Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, made assistant to the chamberlain by the lord king of England, overlord of Scotland, £43 of sterling as part of the payment of his wages granted to him by the lord king of England for the custody of the said castle of Berwick.
