Patrick, son of Earl Thomas of Atholl

Biography
In 1242, Patrick was murdered during the night whilst at Haddington, and the house in which he slept was burnt down to conceal the crime. John and Walter Bisset were rumoured to have killed Patrick, and outlawed; Patrick’s earldom was inherited by David de Hastings, earl of Atholl (d.1247). (Chron. Mel.)
