David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful William, earl of Sutherland, and Margaret, his spouse, the king's beloved sister and of them the longer living, his whole rock of Dunnottar in the sheriffdom of Kincardine (KCD), in feu and heritage, with free entry and exit, with free licence to build on the rock and construct a fortress, for one pair of white gloves on Pentecost if requested.
