Description
David, king of Scots, has given John of Menteith and Mary his spouse, daughter and heir of John of Stirling knight, the office of sheriff of Clackmannan and forester of the forest of Clackmannan, which Mary in her free widowhood resigned by her letters patent to the king; having and holding in feu and heritage, together with the forester's house (mansione) and lands and pasture for 12 cows and their offspring for three years, six oxen (jumentorum) and their offspring for three years, and six pigs and their offspring for three years; for service owed and wont.
