Description
David, king of Scots, notes that in his full council of three communities of his realm held at Scone on 6 November last, he revoked all the lands that he had give no matter to whom, and caused them to be saised in his hands, considering the labour and faithful service to him of his beloved bachelor John of Preston, knight, with the deliberation of his council, has given John of Preston all the lands that belonged to the late Joachim of Kinbuck knight in the sheriffdoms of Fife and Perth, which lands came to the king's hands due to the escheat of his true heirs, who were against his faith and peace dwelling in England; holding in feu and heritage, with smithies and brewhouses, courts and their profits, bondi, bondages, neyfs and their offspring, tenancies [i.e., of freeholders], advowson of churches, as fully as Joachim held them, for service owed and wont.
