Description
David, king of Scots, since Margery of Stirling, daughter and heir of the late John of Stirling, sheriff of Clackmannan, and lord of the Carse of Stirling and Alva (CLA), resigned all her lands and offices and renders by staff and baton to Robert steward of Scotland, then his lieutenant in his absence, which lands, offices and renders his lieutenant infefted hereditarily to John of Menteith, spouse of the aforesaid Margery; know that out of his special grace [David] has received and restored to John of Menteith and his spouse Margery all the lands, offices, and renders which ought to fall to Marjory hereditarily, or which may fall to her in her pure widowhood, as she had them before her resignation; holding by John of Menteith and Margery and their lawfully procreated heirs, in feu and heritage, for service owed and wont.
