David, king of Scots, to his officers, noting that he revoked the grants in his last parliament at Scone, it is not his intention to revoke that donation of Arbroath abbey of their great custom in free and perpetual alms which he formerly granted, but rather wishing that it shall endure perpetually, he has conferred and given it anew. He also wills and concedes the great custom of the burgh, port, and regality of Arbroath, for their own uses, and their own cocket. He commands his officers not to trouble the abbey or their men in this.
