- David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified and confirmed that donation he made to William, earl of Sutherland, and the late Margaret Bruce, his most beloved sister, of the barony of Downie (ANG), of the baronies of Kincardine and Aberluthnott and Fettercairn (KCD), of half the lands of Formartine (ABD) and half the thanage of Kintore (ANG), as his charter attests. [This charter renews RMS, i, app. 1, no. 120; 1/54/101, dated 28 Sept. 1345.]
