Description
R[obert], abbot of Dunfermline and chancellor, has inspected roll of lord king in which was contained dispute between Arbroath Abbey and certain of their neighbours over limits and bounds of their lands. On 3 August 1236 at 'Ordebofyin' (prob. Ord Hill, ABD), an agreement was reached between abbot and convent of Arbroath and M[argerie], countess of Buchan, then in her widowhood, text of which is quoted in full [not here]. Moreover, on same day, abbot (of Arbroath) quitclaimed all quarrels and demands on land of Philip of Feodarg [in exchange for] quitclaim of 'Ordlochlany' (?ABD), as quoted in full [not here]. It is also noted that on the following day, bounds between Arbroath's lands and land of 'Strathlochath' (?ABD) were recognised
