Description
Fergus of Ardrossan, knight, for the welfare of his soul and especially for the welfare of the soul of the late Freskin of Moray, his lord, lord of Duffus, has given and granted, and established by this his charter in pure and perpetual alms, to the church of Moray and Bishop Archibald, all his land of Ross, that is, two davochs of ‘Clon’ (?ROS? ) that he held of Freskin, to the upkeep of two chaplains in the cathedral church of Elgin in perpetuity, by its right bounds, and with all its pertinents, free and quit, as the charter of the said Freskin his lord fully attested, saving the forinsec service of the lord king and saving the tenure of Lady Euphemia, mother of the said Freskin, in her lifetime.
