Watt and Shead, Heads, 64: Brian was a monk of Dundrennan when he succeeded in 1250. He occurs again on 2 April 1273. His tombstone in the chapter house records that he was 12th abbot (J.S. Richardson, Dundrennan Abbey (1994), 22)
